Ildar Iksanov, now based in Moscow, was born in Astrakhan, a small town near the Caspian Sea in 1991.

Ildar Iksanov travels frequently to places more ambiguous to the every- day tourist: Yerevan, Sevan, Tbilisi, Dilijan. Iksanov documents his daily life through a Contax T2 often focusing on architectural themes which appear somewhat alien to the average Western viewer, additionally, flowers, both in their natural environment and curated settings appear repeatedly as a theme in Iksanov’s work, offering a stark contrast to the monotoned concrete of Soviet architecture.
In 2017 Ildar took part in two group exhibitions in Moscow. Nike ‘Train’ included a musical composition created specifically for the project as well as a thematic mood board composed of photographs and personal effects. The other major exhibition, titled: “Synthesis & Integration” showcased Iksanov’s ‘Flowers/Towers’ series.
